Happy Love the Bus Month!

February, oh February! It’s like the month was made for spreading love – be it through our Bus Love Campaign or the romantic vibes of Valentine’s Day. This month totally owns my heart!

The idea that we spend an entire month celebrating our bus drivers, routers, trainers, mechanics, support staff, and directors is amazing. Thank you to all our NAPT members for your support of this campaign and the incredible ways that you have chosen to celebrate in your districts.

Valentine’s Day celebrates love in all its forms – love for friends, family, partners, and spouses. Love encompasses more than just hearts and flowers; it embodies kindness, courtesy, friendship, cooperation, and celebration. In today’s world, filled with hate and discord, it is crucial to cherish and practice love. Living in negativity is not an option in this wonderful life. Embracing the message of the song “All You Need Is Love,” love fosters understanding, acceptance, and empowers us to tackle challenges and embrace opportunities.

NAPT and the NAPT Foundation strive to be a lighthouse for our members and our industry. We want our programs and offerings to continuously promote positivity. We keep student safety as our number one goal and we understand that to do that, we need an industry that cooperates and works together to meet the needs of our students, our districts, our employees, and our communities. Our attitude is one of gratitude for the opportunities before us.

Our members represent the best leadership I’ve come to know. As you celebrate this month, do not forget to celebrate not only your employees and our industry, but yourself as well. Your commitment and your passion are admirable. Like all good leaders, you recognize that you are not alone, and that the success of your operation is contingent on the people you supervise and work with! Cheers to you! Cheers to them!

As always, I love my school bus family and like you, my blood will be forever yellow. It is my honor and privilege to serve you and to work with you. I cannot think of anywhere I would rather be!

Happy Love the Bus Month!

With love and respect,

Molly
