As summer conference season gained momentum, NAPT leaders and members continued connecting with transportation professionals across the country through state association events and professional development opportunities. From Colorado to New York, June provided valuable opportunities to share expertise, strengthen partnerships and advance student transportation excellence.
Colorado State Pupil Transportation Association Conference

NAPT was proud to participate in the Colorado State Pupil Transportation Association (CSPTA) Conference, where attendees gathered to explore emerging trends, innovative practices and leadership strategies impacting student transportation.
Representing NAPT at the conference were Rosalyn Vann-Jackson, DSL, MBA, CDPT, and NAPT Region 4 Director; Molly McGee-Hewitt, PhD, CAE, NAPT Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director; and Maritza Valentin, NAPT Affiliate Member Director. The trio welcomed attendees at the NAPT exhibit booth, sharing information about the association’s professional development programs, certification opportunities and member resources.

In addition to exhibiting, both Vann-Jackson and McGee-Hewitt delivered multiple workshop presentations throughout the conference. Their sessions addressed key topics facing transportation leaders today and provided attendees with practical strategies they can apply within their own operations.
The conference once again demonstrated the value of state and national collaboration as transportation professionals gathered to exchange ideas, strengthen networks and learn from one another.
PDS Weekend – Albany, New York

NAPT’s commitment to professional development continued with the second Professional Development Series (PDS) Weekend of 2026, held in Albany, New York.
Transportation professionals from NAPT Region 1 and beyond gathered for a weekend focused on learning, networking and advancing the student transportation profession. Participants engaged in coursework designed to expand their knowledge, strengthen leadership capabilities and support continued progress toward professional certification and career growth.
PDS Weekends remain a cornerstone of NAPT’s educational mission, providing accessible opportunities for transportation professionals to develop new skills while connecting with peers from across the industry.
