The 2024-2025 School Year has begun with great momentum! Thanks to the committed efforts of student transportation experts nationwide fleets have been maintained and updated, drivers have been recruited, hired, and trained, routing has been completed, and students are safely being transported to and from school daily.

They only see the yellow bus daily without recognizing what it takes to make this system efficient, reliable, and safe.
The plans for the current school year have been underway for months! School transportation directors and their teams have been diligently developing protocols and processes. As it is them, our members that truly understand the complexity of transporting students.
October holds great significance for NAPT! Like you and your advance planning, we have been planning for the 47th Annual Conference and Trade Show (ACTS) for over a year! Every NAPT and NAPT Foundation leader, along with our professional staff, have been actively involved in the preparations. We are so excited to see many of our members and business partners in Oklahoma City! Anticipation is high for each session to surpass our expectations. We have state-of-the-art information from regulators and federal agencies, inspiring and motivating keynote speakers, and workshops designed to support your daily work. Not to mention our enriching PDS courses and impressive trade show….you will return home better prepared than ever for the future!
At ACTS 24, we will honor our new Hall of Fame Inductees and award winners! These individuals not only inspire me but also serve as outstanding advocates for the profession. This is a truly unique industry. In all of education and business, I have never met a more dedicated and committed community of people. Although we joke about being “bleeding yellow,” there is something unmistakenly wonderful about the pupil transportation industry. The dedication and enthusiasm of our members never cease to amaze me.
I share your passion for my work and have been fortunate to work with exceptional organizations throughout my career. Since joining NAPT three years ago, I have recognized that I have found my professional home. I wholeheartedly believe in our mission and approach. I stand behind public education and its crucial role in our democracy, and I deeply admire the individuals involved in student transportation. With a dedicated member leadership team, supportive business partners, and an exceptional staff, our organization is ready to serve the members that we represent!
