This month, On the Road continues the visual story of NAPT’s vibrant spring and summer momentum. We feature Executive Director & CEO Dr. Molly McGee Hewitt in three powerful events where she shared dynamic leadership insights and brought regional voices into the national transportation conversation:
May 17–18 | NAPT Professional Development Weekend
Kicking off at NAPT’s own Professional Development Weekend in Chattanooga, Tennessee, NAPT leadership and credentialed members (Teena Mitchell, CDPT, CSNT [SC]; Alex Spann, CDPT [TN]; and Stephanie Walker, CDPT, CSPT, CSNT, CPTS [GA]) led multiple Professional Development Series (PDS) sessions. Molly was present to support instructors and seize the opportunity to connect with members who are pursuing their NAPT Certification through our PDS offerings.
June 4 | STS NJ General Meeting
Next, Molly spoke on “Leading from the Center” at the School Transportation Supervisors of New Jersey meeting held at Forsgate Country Club. Her focused message underscored empowering school transportation professionals as pivotal leaders in school transportation ecosystems. Candid photos illustrated her connection with attendees during Q&A, and moments of dialogue that emphasized empowerment and peer support.
June 8–11 | OAPT Annual Conference
Wrapping up the spring tour, Molly traveled to Columbus for the Ohio Association for Pupil Transportation’s Annual Conference. Her address reinforced NAPT’s commitment to collaboration
and local to national alignment, speaking on policy trends, safety innovations, and professional certification pathways.
Through these engagements, Molly brought NAPT’s vision directly into regional contexts; uplifting local affiliates, reinforcing best practices, and expanding the dialogue around pupil transportation excellence.
