Expanding Our Voice in Canada
NAPT Board Member and Region 6 Director, Frank Marasco, CDPT, represented the association at the Ontario Transportation Expo, presenting a session titled: A Stronger National Association for Pupil Transportation (NAPT). Reinforcing the importance of cross-border collaboration in advancing student transportation safety. The session focused on how NAPT’s growth is expanding support, voice, and value for Canadian provinces. With active partnerships already underway in British Columbia and Alberta to adapt NAPT’s Professional Development Series to align with Canadian standards, this work reflects a broader commitment to shared learning and consistency across North America.
PDS Weekend Series Launches in Evansville
NAPT kicked off its 2026 Professional Development Series (PDS) Weekend, sponsored by Tyler Technologies and CI Solutions, in Evansville, Indiana, marking a strong start to this expanded national education initiative. Attendees from eight states came together for a hands-on, high-impact learning experience designed to meet professionals where they are – delivering relevant, practical education in a focused weekend format.
As NAPT’s 2026 travel season gets underway, NAPT On the Road returns as a monthly look at how we’re showing up across the country—connecting with members, elevating conversations, and advancing the work of student transportation in real time. Be sure to follow along each month as we highlight where we’ve been, who we’ve connected with, and how those interactions are shaping the road ahead.
