AUGUST 2025

As summer hits full stride, NAPT: On the Road continues to spotlight the places, people, and professional development shaping the pupil transportation industry. July proved to be a powerhouse month of engagement and education, with the National Association for Pupil Transportation team making appearances at major events across the country.
We begin in Louisville, KY, where Alex Spann represented NAPT at the Southeastern States Pupil Transportation Conference (SESPTC) from July 7–11. Alex delivered an NAPT Update while Beverly Young and Sharon Moore taught PDS 201 and 203, providing attendees with critical leadership and management tools.
At the same time, Peter Mannella represented NAPT at the AASA and ASBO Legislative Advocacy Conference in Washington, D.C. (July 7–9), ensuring the voice of pupil transportation was heard during key policy discussions impacting school systems nationwide.
From there, Peter Lawrence and Peter Mannella took the stage at the New York Association for Pupil Transportation (NYAPT) conference, July 12–16. Lawrence taught PDS 208 and PDS 202, while Mannella shared the latest in NAPT’s national policy and advocacy efforts.
In Missouri, July 8–18, Keith Henry taught PDS 704 and PDS 804 at the Missouri Pupil Transportation Association (MOAPT) conference. Meanwhile, Dr. Molly McGee-Hewitt hosted a “Stronger Together” session emphasizing NAPT-MOAPT collaboration and the benefits of national certification.
At STN Reno (July 13–16), Molly, Alex, and Judi Victor exhibited on behalf of NAPT, engaging with transportation leaders and sharing the association’s latest initiatives.
Though scheduling conflicts prevented NAPT attendance at the Association of School Transportation Services of B.C. conference, we proudly recognize Robyn Stephenson for leading PDS 208 and 701 on NAPT’s behalf.
Finally, NAPT supported its colleagues at the National School Transportation Association (NSTA) event, held July 20–22. Molly, along with NAPT Affiliate Member Director Maritza Valentin and longtime NAPT member and Past President Alex Robinson represented NAPT in celebrating the strength of national partnerships in pupil transportation.
