NAPT ACTS 24 Recap: Inaugural Executive Transportation Forum: Coaching for Staff Success

Presented by Pearl Iizuka of Iizuka Consulting and Delia E. Racines, Ph.D. of From Insight to Equity, the inaugural Executive Transportation Forum hosted a special four-hour session on professional coaching, designed to help executives coach their teams and understand the principles of positive and effective coaching.

Participants received an in-depth session on the basics of professional coaching and its value in the training and retention of staff. Those in attendance learned effective coaching techniques and skills, the difference between mentoring and coaching, and received materials to help them implement a formal coaching program in their own district.

Additionally, the forum emphasized the importance of ongoing professional development and how coaching can be a pivotal component in nurturing future leaders within the organization. Participants left the session feeling empowered and equipped with practical tools to cultivate a more collaborative and supportive work environment. The knowledge gained was directly applicable, offering a clear pathway to implementing sustainable coaching practices that align with their district’s goals and objectives.

Everyone who is registered for this session received a copy of Dr. Delia Racines new book, Trust as the Core of Instructional Leadership.

This inaugural event is set to become a key feature at all future ACTS.
